To the Story of Food Culture Woven by Forests and People.
Chizu's "Taste the Cultural Landscape Forest" Premium Tour
An unparalleled experience to touch the history of the forest and the wisdom of traditional forestry, sharpening all five senses to savor its richness—truly "eating the forest."
Experience the Forest
By surrendering to the forest and sleeping within it, you spend special time detached from daily life. Being surrounded by trees, enveloped by the sounds of birds and wind, is an introduction that prepares you for the start of your journey.
Furthermore, walking through the forest with a guide, you will learn that plants can be ingredients or medicinal herbs, and how to distinguish different trees, making it a rich experience to perceive the forest with all five senses.
Eat the Forest
The blessings gathered from the forest and local ingredients are transformed into dishes at a "restaurant that appears only for one day in the forest." Through the series of actions—gathering, creating, and eating—you will realize how closely intertwined the activities of the forest and people are. This is truly an unparalleled experience of "eating the forest."
Rural Life as a "On to Hoko" (gratitude and service)
Serve the forest and the local community through activities like tree planting and cultural property restoration, leaving a mark for the future. Travelers of today re-experience the spirit of "On to Hoko" (gratitude and service) that once took root in post towns, through their own actions. You become part of Chizu's story, living in harmony with its way of life.
